Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

The easiest and quickest way to order repeat prescriptions is:

This account shows you all your repeat medicine and dosage. You can select what you need.

Alternatively, you can:

Email: Ellisonview.prescriptions@nhs.net
Send us an email with your request. Please ensure you detail two or more identifiers (name, DOB, address etc.) in your email.

Pharmacy / Chemist: Please contact your local pharmacy. They can arrange to order, collect, and dispense your medication. Some pharmacies also offer a delivery service, where they will deliver your medication to your home.

In person: Please only drop off your prescription request if you are unable to make your request by any of the means above. The box is currently inside the first entrance door.

Collecting Your Prescriptions

You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 5 to 7 working days after you have ordered it.

You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.

You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:

  • On the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions
  • At your GP surgery
  • At any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions

Questions About Your Prescriptions

If you have questions about your medicine, ask your local pharmacist. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website offers details about your medicine. It explains how it works, when to take it, the side effects, and answers common questions.

What to do with Old Medicines

Take it to the pharmacy or GP you got it from. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.

About Pharmacists

Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals. They can advise on minor illnesses, such as:

  • Coughs
  • Colds
  • Sore throats
  • Tummy trouble
  • Aches and pains

They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.

Find a pharmacy (nhs.uk)

Many pharmacies are open until late and on weekends. You do not need an appointment.

Most pharmacies have a private room. You can discuss issues with the staff there, in private. The pharmacy staff will advise you if you need to see a doctor. So, it can be a good place to ask if you’re unsure.

Our surgery also has a team of pharmacists. They have extra training in general practice. They can access the patient medical records. They update your medication when we get letters from the hospital. They can help with any questions about the medication that the doctor prescribed. You can make an appointment with a pharmacist through reception.
