Diabetic Reviews

Diabetes reviews are led by our senior nurses, Jackie Knowles or Moira Morley. They discuss the results and creates a personalised care plan with you.

Asthma /COPD Reviews

Get asthma/COPD reviews every year. You can see our trained practice nurse or GP. Please bring your peak flow machines, inhalers, and spacers.

Smear Clinics

You’ll be sent an invitation letter in the post when it’s time to book your cervical screening appointment. Most cervical screening is done in the GP surgery by a nurse.

Contraception

All our practice nurses are trained to give family planning advice and to arrange your repeat prescription via the GPs. Our GPs are also able to discuss your contraception queries.

Antenatal Clinics

When you first find out that you are pregnant you should inform us via eConsult. The practice will arrange for you to see one of our community midwives. They will send you a welcome letter and an information pack to let you know what to expect. One of our community midwives will contact you so that we can book your first appointment with them. This will be between the first 8 and 10 weeks of your pregnancy.

Childhood Immunisations

Our nurses offer regular childhood immunisation appointments based on the national schedule. New children need to show their immunisation proof at registration.

When registering, please bring your child’s immunisation record.

 

Vaccinations

Flu vaccine clinics start in September/October each year at the surgery.

NHS Health Checks

The practice offers the NHS Health Check for patients aged 40-74. For more information, click here.

Mother & Baby Clinic

The practice provides a routine 6-8 week mother and child health check. It is for a thorough physical exam. For more information on child health checks click here.

Our Practice Nurses have extended nursing roles and are able to work alongside the GPs in offering help and advice on a variety of health related conditions, eg acute minor illness and infections. An appointment can be made with either Nurse via Reception.

Our Healthcare Assistant offers routine blood pressure checks, dressings, health promotion advice and she also performs all of our new patient registration checks.
